Julia
Welcome to all new members, Let me introduce myself. My name is Julia Jobe and I am the founder of Teacher-me. It's very dear to my heart. I want to explain a little about it. As you all know, I'm passionate about the importance of outstanding teaching and intervention at an early age in a child's learning journey. That's why I specialised as an Early Years and Key Stage 1 teacher. At primary age you can really change a child's ability to learn and their own self perception of what they are capable of. Over the years I've advised many families on how to support their child at home. That maybe through training them up on new strategies or frameworks within the education system or supporting the child themselves 1-1. With many children, the learning lightbulb has suddenly switched on and success has come easily. Yes easily!!! There may be many reasons you are thinking of a tutor. It may be just for extra support for you or your child to see them reaching expected goals at school. It maybe because you want to sit them for the 7, 9 or 11 plus entrance exams for your or their preferred school. It may be because you just want your child to fully see their potential. Whatever the reason, it's vital you get the right tutor. Bad practises and the wrong attitude of a teacher can affect a child both academically and emotionally. As the founder of Teacher-me, I really think my agency is different! I don't randomly match a parent on a database with a teacher I've never met! Through talking to the parent I match the correct tutor for them as their child! No rigid computer programme, no boring worksheets, just outstanding teachers who want to really help your child. Each teacher I use as a freelancer is a teacher I've worked with on ground level, so I can give a personal guarantee they are excellent and fun too!!!!! Someone who thinks outside the box and cares about the child. A true true teacher!!! Someone who sprinkles hope and magic. Someone who gives your child a zest to aim higher! We are fully booked at present but are now booking in sessions for February! 07757679892
